Zuku Fiber target to improve the access speeds of the current and new customers and maintaining the product prices. i.e. 1Mbps product will be upgraded to 2Mbps, 4Mbps to 5Mbps, 15Mbps to 20Mbps, 30Mbps to 50Mbps and 60Mbps to 100Mbps.

The new upgrades will also see the introduction of high speed internet product at speeds of up to 250Mbps retailing for Kshs 19,999 per month We are to repositioning Zuku Fiber as a market leader in delivering triple play service. The proposed new offers are to put Zuku at a competitive edge in terms of speeds and prices.

a.      All customers who will be on service as at 7th of March 2017 will be upgraded to the new speeds depending on the package they are currently subscribed to

b.     Any new customers signing up the service from 7th March 2017 will automatically be provisioned on the new speed packages without any additional fees.

Depending on the cable modem currently used the company will ensure that the new speeds are supported by the cable modem used by the customer otherwise the modem will be replaced without any cost to the consumer

This will be a proactive action from WGK end as it is now most customers  are on i15  and moving to i20 will not require any modem upgrade, it’s only a few customers who might be on i30 that might require a modem upgrade to achieve the full speed of up to 50Mbps after upgrade. NB: Equipment change will be an advice from WGK office and not customer initiated

You will get high speeds as per the upgrade. eg Premium R15 will get 20mbps speeds

The channels will remain as per the package .eg. Premium R15 will still get Premium channels.

Increased internet speeds at the same price.

The service will be automatically activated on the new speeds.

New customers will be issued with a cable modem so as to access internet via Wi-Fi or use of Ethernet cable to his / her computer.

Existing customers will not need additional devices.

The service will be available for all current customers in all the areas covered by Zuku Fiber

Infinite 100 (i100) will offer high speed internet service to high end market segment in both GPON and HFC areas.

Infinite 250 (i250) will offer high speed internet service to high end market segment in both GPON and HFC areas.

    Subscribers to i250 shall get the below services:

• Premium TV content- Access to Zuku Premium TV Pack
• Free cable Modem
• Free Set top box
• Telephone headset sold at Kshs 1500
• The product shall retail at Ksh. 19,999 per month.

Installation Fee of Ksh.7,500 for GPON areas and Ksh.3,999 for HFC areas

Yes to achieve up to 250Mbps one need to be connected on Ethernet cable as Wi-Fi connections has a lot of dependencies and cannot be guaranteed. The dependencies include the distance from the cable modem, laptop wireless card capability as some are limited to 54Mbps speeds

Yes, there will be a launch event and a communication campaign advising customers of new speeds and targeted SMS broadcast to customers after the upgrade

Customers will experience improved speeds from the date of upgrade.

The package will cease to exist and therefore we shall have the new packages.
